'Cosmic Confetti' by Ananda La Vita
My piece started out as a portrayal of a crumbling brick wall, but that was too uninteresting, so I turned it into a more abstract image of distorted, rectangular, confetti-like shapes bursting out of a large egg shape with a nucleus that could be interpreted as a planet or some kind of cosmic "source." I feel that it fits all three themes of floating, falling, or flying because the lightweight confetti-like shapes are doing all of those things as they seem to burst out of the egg shape.
