Live Trace

Final Image

So for my first live trace that we worked on in class, I selected a set of black and white flowers that were drawn by Hughie on Wookmark. For this particular piece of art work, I was trying to get it to look a lot like the original image by adding bright colors so that you can see every detail that he outlined in his art work. I also added a much thinner black line on the outside of the roses and even added a lighter green inside of the leaves so that the leaves aren't just one shade of green. As for the background of the image, I selected a much brighter color so that the flower stands out on its own.

Tyler the Grey Cat

So for this particular image that we had to sketch for homework, my goal was to get this cat to appear like the original image and also for it to look like my own grey cat who name is Tyler. So in order to make sure that this image appeared like the original image, I first copied the image into photoshop. After I copied the image into photoshop, I cropped the photo to take out the access space and even played around with the background coloring a little. This image took me 3 days to complete as well. One of the biggest problems that I had while i was completing this assignment on illustrator was trying to get certain parts of the cat to appear a different color. Sometimes when I would click on the feet to make them a different shade of grey, the whole entire cat would appear in that color. This issue was not something that I resolved after I played around with it for 2 hours.  So I allowed the cat to remain two basic colors.
