Live Trace #1
This is the original image that I used for the first in class assignment. The artist is unknown. I used yellow,orange, and red gradients within the rays of the sun to make the sun look like it was burning and on fire. It got really hard and frustrating because all the lines and shapes in this drawing aren't closed. I had to use a lot of different layers to get around the un closed shapes in the drawing. Below is the picture edited with gradients and color.
Live Trace #2
This is my drawing for the second live trace project. I thought about things that interested me and things that I liked and I picked bunnies. I also cam across a lot of problems with this drawing too, but i didn't realize the closed shape rule. It became very hard to do what I wanted with the color and gradients in Illustrator. So i ended up using a bunch of layers and shapes and moving everything around.
Below is my drawing with the colors I added. I tried to make the scene look very cartoony and child book like. Using the gradients became very confusing to me during this.
