Animation
I wanted to wait until I had fixed this before I posted it, but I won't get a chance to before the break so I'm posting it now. In the program, the background was the perfect size, but when I uploaded it to Youtube, the background shrunk. Besides that, everything worked well and I had fun making this short video.

Animation
So for my animation exercise, I decided to go with the concept of unity. I selected three shapes that I thought worked really well together which was a star, triangle, and a trapezoid to complete this exercise. In the beginning, I thought that it was a smart idea to make all three shapes fade in and then rotate around one another because it shows a since of confusion. Then, at the end I made all of them join with one another to show that unity is important when you work as one big group. There is a couple errors in my project that needs to be fixed, but I currently used what our professor taught us so far and I hope that you like it.
Animation
This is the first animation that I have actually ever done, but I work a lot with video art, and I am minoring in film. I really enjoyed doing this first animation and learning more about key framing.
I tried to make it look like the moon was coming up from behind the clouds and the birds, plane and kite were all flying.

Animation
I didn't know anything about animation before this. But it was fun playing around with the effects of the animation. Since the winter weather is here i decided to do an animation of snow.

It's my first time at animation ever. I wasn't intending to for any of the shapes to move but apparently while I increased the size or rotated an object I slightly moved it as well

15-second animation
Here is my janky animation: http://youtu.be/HRpGXTbJ5b4
I had no trouble making the initial key frames, but got into trouble when trying to fix the kite's path so that it would fly correctly and smoothly.
This was my first time doing any digital animation.

CD Project
The concept for
my mix CD is stories and passages from the Bible that are interpreted through
electronic music. I was originally just going to interpret epic battles from
movies and video games with electronic music, but I felt that this concept was
a more interesting and different direction to use, especially since I’m trying
to use this genre instead of traditional Christian music to bring more life and
energy into passages in the Bible that mean something to me personally. The
titles of each track will actually be the name of the story or passage I’m
interpreting with the song itself in parentheses. The tracks include:
1. Genesis 1-2 – “Creation” (Animus Vox- The Glitch
Mob)
2. Matthew 4: 1-11 – “Jesus’s Temptation” (Professional
Grievers Instrumental- DeadMau5)
3. Romans 6: 14 – “Free of King Death” (First
of the Year- Equinox- Skrillex)
4. Mark 11: 22-24 – “Trust 100%” (Ghosts N’
Stuff- Deadmau5)
5. Acts 2: 44-47 – “We are WE when we are
UNITED” (Unison- Porter Robinson)
6. 1 Corinthians 15 – “Keep Moving, It’s
Worth It” (Fortune Days- The Glitch Mob)
7. 2 Corinthians 12 – “Boasted Flaws” (Strobe-
Deadmau5)
8. Matthew 6:25, 34 – “No Worries” (Green and
Blue – Koan Sound Remix)
The following images below are sketches of ideas for the imagery and logo for my CD cover. Sorry for some of the cropping that occurred in some of the sketches; my house printer was inside of a shelf, so the scanner door couldn't open all of the way and I couldn't fit my whole sketchbook inside :| (and I didn't want to rip the pages out, either).
Here are the photographs that were manipulated in the final piece:

CD Project Final
The concept behind my CD was to show almost a story with the songs and artwork that I chose and made. The songs start out with someone in love but feeling weary about it, and then they go through heartbreak. The final songs are happier and about how you should be confident with yourself and how everything will work out in the end. I think my artwork show someone who looks like they feel very sad, lost and frustrated. I love photography so I was really excited about this project. I wanted to edit the pictures I took differently then I have before. I really like the techniques we learned in class and I started playing around on photoshop and came up with my ideas. I liked using text and creating an actual object that could actually be sold and bought.

Final CD Project
So for this particular project, I decided to do something a little different from everyone else and construct a Sports CD for children, since I am an education major. All children value the concept of play because it tends to be a way in which children can communicate with their peers and other children in or outside the classroom setting. With this thought in mind, I decided to design a CD that is both bright and colorful and includes music that will make children jump around and have a good time. This is a CD that i have made especially for future teachers, faculty, and parents who love to have a great time with their young ones. I decided to make my cd layout very colorful since children really love a lot of bright colors.

CD Project Final
For this CD project, my concept was simply to interpret Bible passages that meant something to me personally with electronic music since typical Christian music would be too easy to interpret. The songs I've used have a certain energy in them that cause the passages I've selected to feel more alive rather than just black and white print on a page. When I was brainstorming ideas for the name of my mix CD, I eventually decided to name it "Vibrant Black." The color generally used in text is black, and electronic music tends to create a lively, energetic and colorful mood or atmosphere. This concept is also represented in the CD case design itself. Colorful letters are bursting out of a black and white DJ table, and the color gives more life to the overall black and white design. When I was choosing which songs would interpret which passage, I just read the passage and then listened to different songs as I was reading it. The songs I chose were based on loose interpretation, so I simply just chose a song if I felt that it matched what the passage was saying. If you look at the CD, you'll notice that the order of the passages listed are in the same order as the tracks listed on the back of the CD cover
(ex: "1. Genesis 1-2" matches with "1. Animus Vox - The Glitch Mob").

CD Project Final
This is the final digital copy. Luckily, I stayed consistent with my theme. After folding, I plan to add a transparent slip where the sd will go.
CD Project Leonard, Danny
For my CD
project, my theme was love. It sounds really sappy and cliché but whenever I
choose to make a project for a certain person, it always seems to mean more to
me and makes me very motivated to get it looking just the way I want it
to. Needless to say, I’m making this particular project for my girlfriend. The
track list is full of songs that we both listen to because they remind us of
each other. I wanted it to have a beach theme because we both love the beach
and many of these songs remind me of the summer when we met. I also wanted it
to have a sort of scrap book feel to it so I used pictures of us throughout the
project and used textures to create the different surfaces in the project with
shadows all coming from a similar light source to create the illusion that all
the objects are actually hanging just above the paper. Overall I’m happy with
how the project turned out and I can’t wait to give it to my girlfriend.
CD Project
My concept for my CD album cover is songs that are relaxing and calm. They are the type of songs that my family and I like to listen to while sitting outside on our back deck while the sun is going down or at night time. So that is why I chose pictures of the ocean for the front and back cover and then a picture of my deck for the inside, along with a faded stars effect over the pictures that came from a picture of the night sky.

Final CD Layout
This mixtape is about feeling horrible. It's about realizing that things get better. It transitions from a combination of depression, anger, anxiety, and hopelessness into true happiness. I made a list of over 20 songs all from different artist and then placed them in different places and listened to them to see what fits until I came up with what I feel is a perfect transition. I was inspired by all of the band A Day to Remember's album covers for the artwork and I feel I did a fairly decent job of creating the imagine I had in my head.
CD project final
In the final version, I settled on the title "Off the Rails: a Compilation" and chose a combination of an ornate-but-slightly-grungey script font called Brigitta for the title and one of my favorite sans serif fonts, Futura, for the track list. Futura has the right old-school look for this design.
The overall color palette consists of blue, yellow, and a wine/rust color along with black and white. My design is purposely bold and spare consisting of only a few elements per page, but hopefully it feels somewhat ornate and textured at the same time.
CD project final
This is a collection of songs about love and loss. The
tracks that I have chosen all show a different facet of the pain and joy love
can bring. They also show how different people respond to love, with all of its
trials and triumphs, through using elements of hope, acceptance, longing and
despair. This album takes the idea of “a
love song” out of its usual context. After all, it’s not a romantic world we
live in.
Final CD Project
This is my final CD project. I changed up my original design a bit, but overall i kept the layout similar.
I'm printing the image of the clock on the top left again onto a CD and it it going to lay overtop this clock. Therefore, when you take the CD out of the slip, the background won't be white, it will be a duplicate image of the CD itself.
